Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how SimplyPark ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the SimplyPark mobile app and services. SimplyPark is a parking marketplace that connects drivers with people who have parking space to rent.
1. Information we collect
- Account details — your mobile number (used to sign in via OTP), and optionally your name and email address.
- Location — your device location, used only while the app is in use, to show nearby parking and to confirm you are at the space during check-in.
- Vehicle details — vehicle type and number you add for a booking.
- Usage data — your bookings, searches, saved spaces, and wallet activity within SimplyPark.
- Host details — if you list a space, your address, PAN, and bank account details (needed to pay out your earnings).
- Payment information — card/UPI details are entered on our payment partner Razorpay and are processed by them. We do not store your full card numbers.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and bookings.
- To process payments, refunds, and (for hosts) payouts.
- To show and recommend nearby parking and improve search results.
- To send booking confirmations, reminders, and service notifications.
- To provide customer support and keep the service secure and lawful.
3. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- With the host whose space you book (to fulfil the booking).
- With our payment partner Razorpay, an RBI-authorised payment aggregator, to process payments and payouts.
- With service providers (e.g. cloud hosting, notifications) who help operate the app.
- Where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Location
Location is accessed only when the app is open and is used to find nearby parking and to verify check-in. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings; some features may then be limited.
5. Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete my account in the app, or by emailing us (see Account & Data Deletion). On deletion we remove your personal data, subject to records we must retain for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
7. Children
SimplyPark is intended for users aged 18 and above and is not directed at children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
